The Spanish fiscal number, known as “NIE”, which means Foreigners identification number, is the number given to you by the Spanish Authorities so that you can comply with all your Spanish fiscal liabilities. You do need a Spanish fiscal number if you are going to buy a Spanish property, an Spanish car or boat, should you apply for a Spanish Loan, or if you are going to work in Spain or set up an Spanish firm or business. The procedure:  We give you an appointment to meet you at our Office, then we take you to the Police Station to apply for it, after about one month we will collect the NIE on behalf of you and make it available to you
